How much will they take in say is a AMD processor, 80G HDD, with two CD writer?

You can upgrade the components that are displeasing you. You can swap the board and processor, sell them, and use the rest of the hardware as is. Take that money and put it against an additional harddrive. Just a thought.

Best place might be ebay, be carefull with the scamers. Some ppl pay with fraudulent funds & you endup without your PC and no money. It happened to me once. :(
