That's the thing, there is no hard evidence. So unless there's pretty convincing evidence, or I myself get abducted, then I don't think they really got abducted. Either they're nuts, lying, or really having scary dreams.

No, and I'll tell you why.
Imagine you're an alien. Let's say your race has mastered instersteller travel and can go light-years in a reasonable amount of time. Now let's say for the sake of arguement you stumbled across this planet with little ape things that can walk around and have technology that in comparison makes the monkeys that use sticks to catch bugs look like geniuses.
Ignoring the incredible 1-in-a-billion odds it would have been to actually find them there's one question you have to ask yourself.
Why would you care? Seriously. Why would you care enough to abduct some of them? If you had the universe at your fingertips and could travel light-years in the blink of an eye you'd probably have seen some planets with amoeba on them that were more interesting. Maybe you'd take a picture or write an amusing quip in your own diary but that would be it.
Now if world political or religious leaders had been abducted, I'd listen but they're always just abducting rednecks anyway. If I could travel light-years I'd at least know the difference between a prime minister and cleetus-the-slack-jowled-yokel.

Yeah...
I went back to the place I grew up not long ago, and no body that I knew lived there any more. They were all gone. I think they might have been abducted or something. Maybe that is what happens. You live in one place for a long time and then one night some aliens come along and abduct you or deduct you.

That presupposes question of "do aliens exist at all." It's not a secret that the only planet suitable for life to exist in our solar system is Earth. NO other planets have conditions allowing for life. The closest stars are still too far for any being to travel from. This idea should not be considered possible by any reasonable person.

Do I believe that aliens exist: yes.
Do I believe that aliens know we are here: there is a possibility.
Do I believe that aliens have come to earth: haha no.
The closest star, proximus centauri, is over 4 light years away...meaning that at the speed of light, an object traveling from that star system to ours would still take over 4 years to get here if it was traveling at the speed of light. We certainly don't have ships that travel that fast anywhere near that fast, and I doubt the aliens do. However our earliest radio transmissions are now reaching close to 100 light years away from Earth, and there are plenty of stars within that radius. Chances are slim (probably like winning the lottery) that there are any aliens within earshot of Earth, but it is certainly possible.
