First of all, the world isn't in danger. Please be assured of that. Have you ever noticed when passing an accident on the road, people always slow down to look? It isn't so they can help, it isn't because it will make them feel good, it is a morbid curiousity prevalent in a majority of humans.

That being said, the news sources on television, radio and print do not exist to bring you information regardless of what they say. They are a business whose purpose is to create profit for the owners and stockholders. This is done not by reporting but by selling advertising. An advertiser wants to get his product out to the most people possible and thus buys time on the most popular programs, the ones most people watch. While it would be enjoyable to watch a good news program, most people get a vicarious thrill satisfying the morbid curiousity desire by watching news about war, natural disasters, ecological problems, government corruption and so on.

News sells. Bad news sells more. You won't hear, for example, the schools being reopened in Iraq, hospitals being stocked, children being fed by the US and its allies. Roadside bombings are much more alluring to the human populace.

All you can do is know in your heart that the violence and mayhem you see on TV news is actually a small fraction of a percentage of what is going on in the rest of the world. Think about your own town, have there been any shootings lately? Probably, maybe one or two people actually pulling the trigger, how many thousands or hundreds of thousands of other people didn't pull a trigger that day? How many millions of people smiled at a neighbor, held a door for a stranger, gave a homeless person some change? The world is a much better place than the news shows. Be at peace and have a Happy New Year.

the world is always in danger because there are too many crazy idiots out there, who want to destroy the world. For example, the north korean leader, the iranian leader and terrorists! Also a lot of countries have nukes, weapons and such that can harm us. Don't forget global warming!! It'll soon destroy our world.

The National-Union believes that because of the vast economic crisis in under-developed nations, it's grounds for terrorists. The National-Union supports aiding countries to have a basic economy with public services to end conflicts. The National-Union believes in using advance weapons before troop deployment to reserve as many lives as necessary for the important attacks, http://www.voteprimous.com

The world is always in danger because of many reasons. One reason is because of religion. Many people believe in different faiths, and alot of conflicts are dued to an arguement of religious beliefs. People have their own opinions, so that is another factor as well. Another reason is us people. Some people seem to enjoy endangering others, and others of that sort. And lets see... another reason is... politics. Politics can really cause violence as well, i dont know why, but it seems to do that alot. i hope this at least kinda answers your question.

It is a ploy used by the TV networks to grab your attention; around here, they flash "Breaking News", with apocryphal music and graphics, then tell you about a house fire. Tragic for the poor homeowners, but hardly news for the rest of us. And how about the weather forecasts? Its always "Early Warning Storm Doppler Radar", when most of the time it is sunny.

think about it
the world is a huge place
with over 6 billion people
of course, at any given moment in time, something bad is going to be happening somewhere

most of the awful stuff never even gets reported

while our local news stations talk about this robbery or that, think about all the 1000s of people who are dying every day of war, famine, and poverty

yes the world is indeed in danger. its because of us. the people. the dominant species in this world. we have different cultures, interests, beliefs and race. not all of us are really accepting the differences from one another. many of us are takers and so little of us are givers. it seem that we prefer to be selfish most of the time.
