hey, i can't remember whether whip-weals leave raised scars or not... i think i did know, but i can't remember.... and if they do, CAN they leave flat scars??? you know, like when the skin gets scraped off, or is it only raised, ropy scars???? thanx so much!

They are raised at first but over time they wear down. If the whipping is severe enough they stay raised.

I'm going to guess a flat whip will leave flat scars and a sharp whip will leave raised scars.

Looks like the scars are ropy. I think the injury is mostly bruising, slicing, swelling/inflamation (not so much scrap).

I hope your story points out how bad whipping is . . .
