You're proposing a "love day"? Cool! Yes there should be at least one. If it could become a statutory holiday even better! (In my job, I'd probably still have to work since I worked Christmas & am working New Year's Eve but then at least I'd get overtime for it!)
Of course, there's always Valentine's Day but that's more of a romantic love day plus it's been commercialized like everything else to be about big red hearts & chocolates & cards (& diamonds etc not that there's anything wrong with that). We should have a "Peace & Love" day. Let's all wear flowers in our hair & dress like hippies & form a circle and sing in the forest. I'll bring my acoustic guitar & sing for you!

If you mean 'in love' I guess you mean of caring, sharing, empathy, sympathy, that sort of thing. How could our 'leaders' enforce this or bring it about. Isn't that like forcing someone to be free?
Don't get me wrong, I try to practice the same, but my angry neighbour may not want to go along with the deal. Then what?
It's a nice sentiment but not very do-able.
I'd be happy with tolerance, peace and polite table manners.
