Actually there are nipple sheilds that you can wear to draw out the nipple. Weird huh?

Bubbles, only plastic surgery can help inverted nipples become normal. Other that this, it would rely heavily on her newborn's sucking ability to get sufficient break milk (or ask her to use a battery-powered breastmilk pump) although no amount of nipple-sucking can "cure" inverted nipples.

Tell her to find her local La Leche League in the phone book and they will guide her on some things to try. I have a friend who had this before and she was able to use these little plastic disks that pulled her nipples out.

Yes actually something can be done. She should speak to her doctor or a lactation specialist. They have little round disc type things (don't know what they are called) you put on your breasts to help the nipples come out.

Perhaps piercing them and nipple rings would keep them in the outright position .

Maybe if you took the to handle them with care it wouldn't be so hard for her. Monkey love should be gentle sometimes.
