because its not easy to see the play when your in it how ever if your in the audience you can see things clearly

An excellent question. It's happening to me as well :))
First of all, people don't know what problems, inner conflicts, frustrations, fears (and so on) you have. So if they believe in you, it must be because you have potential, even though you don't realise it.
I can't tell you to believe in yourself, because I can't do that either, though it is the healthiest thing in my opinion. It's all about the way you see life and the way you see yourself compared to others.
Believe me, I know what it's like to feel this way, and I also know that it's completely useless. Don't listen to what others say, because each time someone tells you they believe in you, it can make you feel even worse.
All you have to do is think things over. See what is truly important to you. If you find it impossible to achieve, just live with it, but never deny your desires. :) be true to yourself, no matter what you do.
The next thing you have to do, is to be practical. There are many things you can do that can bring you satisfaction. no matter how insignificant they are, by doing something and succeeding, you will feel better.
And don't forget, sports help you gain confidence, so the more you exercise, the better. :) it's true, I took dancing lessons some time ago, and they really started to pay off, but I quit :( You will also observe that when you're in a good mood because of the endorfines, you release some kind of positive energy that attracts people to you. So make the good mood a habit ;)
Maybe not self-confidence is the key, since sports can make you feel better and confident. Maybe it's all about being practical and doing whatever is best for you.. :)

Well maybe they see you as an older figure and you have qualities they don't think they have or don't have. You might also have that aura around you that feels as if you are an individual and there is something special. Although you could just ask your friends what they find in you that makes them believe and press them for a real answer so they and you can see it too. Being straightforward is sometimes the best thing to do. And believing in yourself is just a part of life, you should believe in yourself. Ask yourself what is there not to believe in.

They have faith in you and see something in you that they can only see and I bet if you start beliving in yourself then you can prove them right and you will surpise yourself knowing you can do it

because some people can see qualities in you that you don't see for yourself,becuase other people can objectionable point of views.
