i know he dies in "the death of superman" but he returns in a weaker form. i just wonder whether he is his usual self as before he died

after burial,his body was taken by klexx?and put in the rejuvination tank.i read that he was infected with kryptonite microorganism.he's fine now.shame i did not get the comic book when it came out.

Dude, how could Superman be dead?
He, uh, kinda doesn't exist, being that he's a fictional character an everything.
But I DO get what you're asking; is he "dead" in the continuity of the world of the DC Universe.
And the answer is no, he's not dead. He died, but since he is like DC's most recognized super hero (yeah, even more than Batman, surprising, no?) they pretty much had to bring him back. I mean, come on, Superman dead? Its just a bad idea. Too bad no one was there to tell that to the "geniuses" that came up with the idea of killing him in the first place.
So yeah, he's "alive' and well, and is just as powerful as he was before.

Personality yes. Powers no. One of the many rumors of the day was that they were resetting Supes' powers to bring them below godlike and give him some limitations. By the time writers and artists try to out do previous teams the powers just get out of hand. I liked the Superman from the 40s-50s. He was tuogh and strong, but he could feel a hit, and sometimes only slow a speeding object. But he kept getting stronger, faster, and more durable. It took the creation of a new villian to take him out. Continuity in powers is impossible I suppose.
