Lincoln wrote many times about the danger of concentrated wealth, which is the current Rep goal.

He would definitely NOT be a Republican...but I don't think he would be a democrat either. I think he would have no faith in the current political system.

Why do people with no understanding of politcs waste their time in here?

Republicans, in general favor tax CUTs to individual taxpayers, small AND large businesses. The idea is that companies with less tax burden can hire more employees. More working people means more taxes to pay for all kinds of spending programs.

(The idea that they are against the "little" person comes from arguing against giving "tax rebates" to people who, according to their low income, already pay NO income tax at all. The idea of tax rebates is to encourage Work, not to pad welfare rolls.)

Any effort to collect all wealth in the hands of a "few" would be pointless and futile and is NOBODY's goal on either side of the aisle.

In fact, Democrats get more campaign contributions from gigantic corporations than Republicans do. Doesn't that, by your logic, mean they're in on the "conspiracy"?

Lincoln would be a proud Republican, would have spanked any current Democrat in a debate, and would have had NO Problem using trops to go after terrorists.

Lincoln would not have favored the current Republican runaway spending.
He would not favor the enormous size that the government has grown to under Republican rule.
He would be appalled at the number of people falling into poverty under Republican rule.
He would be appalled at the doubling of the national debt and the fiscal irresponsibility under Republican rule.
and so on, and so on....

in short, he would NOT be a Republican today.

Concentrated wealth? You mean like the Kennedy wealth? The Clinton wealth? The Biden, Kerry-Heinz, George Soros, Kohl, Rockefeller,Corzine, Feinstein, and/or John Edwards wealth?

Look it up for yourself!

I think Lincoln would be too conservative for the Republican party.

He would look at the Democrats for what they are... Socialists.
