Bush has something Clinton didn't have, doesn't have and never will have: morals. It wouldn't have happened.

Punished? What punishment?

New president Bill Clinton congratulated Dan Rather on his on-air partnership with Connie Chung: "Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you. Thank you. Mr. President. If we could be one-one-hundredth as great as you and Hillary Rodham Clinton have been together in the White House, we'd take it right now and walk away winners."
--Dan Rather at a meeting for CBS affiliates, May 27, 1993. Quoted in Columbia Journalism Review Sept./Oct. 1993.

"What a comeback for President Clinton! Right after the Monica Lewinsky story broke there was widespread talk of possible resignation or impeachment, but look at this: A CBS News poll out tonight indicates the President with his highest job approval rate ever, 73 percent, that's up 16 points since the State of the Union address."
--Dan Rather on the CBS Evening News, January 29, 1998.

No, the GOP has the market cornered on poltical back stabbing. Take for example the bogus reporter Jeff Gannon( Guckert) who ended up visiting the WH 196 times. This guy runs a gay male escort web site. Just imagine what would have happened if a democrat did that? The swift boaters would have had a field day. Bush got off scott free on that one.

I think it's pretty clear that Bush isn't getting into trouble with anyone but the voters. The Houses haven't touched him. If he had been caught doing the same thing with a Democratic controlled Congress? I don't think so...not after Gary Hart!

Even Monica would not sink that low. Come on. As for punishment, no, Georgie would have found a way to pass a bill to make it okay to screw around with an intern. And if he got in trouble, well daddy could always bail him out.

President Bush would never have done what clinton did. Pres. Bush loves our country and he loves his wife and he has more class then clinton any day. Laura Bush also has alot more class then Mrs. Clinton and whoever thinks otherwise is a dumb democrat I am sure.

Morals aside, Clinton was in my opinion one of the best presidents we have had. I think Bush would love Monica to be under his desk and would have in his younger years I'm sure.

Why bother becoming President if you can't get some on the side?

And as my 87 yo mom said: " Maybe it makes him a better President."

The people that won't let go of this thing have a real problem. In most countries it wouldn't even make the news.
