I have 2 baseballs autographed by Tom Seaver and I don't know how to go about cleaning them without destroying them..

use a gentle lube to softly scrub them clean....if you want I can teach you a special way to clean balls carefully and nicely....

use a mild soap. rub softly. and find a spare to test the soap out on first. get a spare ball, sign it, then see if it washes off.
don't forget to towel dry.

you need to work on your first part of question. but I would do like the other answer says and sign one and see ways to wash it off without runin it.

you have to first hold them snug and close together then rub gently with a clean cloth as you pull them apart
