Recently, my boyfriend's breath has started to smell really bad sometimes and when he comes closes to kiss me I automatically turn away. I think I'm hurting his feelings but can't stand the smell. What should I do??? How do I tell him gently? We've been together for 3 and a half years. I don't want to hurt his feelings.

Think you should be honest and tell him. If that doesn't work buy him a toothbrush, mouthwash and toothpaste. Goodluck.

You have been with him 3 years?? I think that you can say honestly that he needs to take better care of his teeth--buy him a spin brush and tooth paste and mouth wash--oh some smell good and deodorant--wrap them and tell him you have no idea how you could have missed this at Christmas--If after he receives this and he still is offensive ask him how he likes his new brush--Oh you need to get one for you too and say I just love mine--and then--he still doesn't get the hint--tell him you love him but that he NEEDS to use the brush--and offer him some gum every time you see him--sometimes people just don't know--I never have figured out how come I always know if I have alligator breath--

Tell him he might have a sinus infection or stomach trouble that is making his breath smell bad lately. Give him some breath mints to help him. When he kisses you, tell him that that is much better. When I have bad breath, I don't notice it until the man in my life tells me and he does it by asking me if I am getting a sinus infection again because he has noticed my breath is bad. That way he is telling me out of concern, being honest and helping me. A relationship is built on honesty and that is not always saying compliments.

if youv'e been with the guy for 3 yrs just say honey not trying to hurt your feelings but your breath is bad. Maybe he has a rotten tooth or somthing. my friend had this problem when she had the tooth pulled the bad breath went with it. If you don't want to tell him that's fine but be prepared for the questions he'll start asking about the lack of attention from you. Hope this helps.

If you've been together that long, you should be comfortable enough in your relationship to tell him everything that's on your mind. I tell my boyfriend when his breath is nasty.....He doesn't take it offensively because its a natural thing. He just goes and brushes his teeth or chews some gum.
Just tell him, and get it over with. I'm sure he doesn't want you to be nauseated.

SISTA FRIEND the worst thing you can do is let him walk around with bad breath TELL HIM or go find a mouth wash from a dentist explain it to the dentist maybe he can help you too.But he odviously isn't aware of it.So if you love him you will tell him before sombody else imbarasses him ROYALLY.

Just tell him...you don't have to be rude about it. Just sit him down and say...baby, I'm not trying to embarrass u in any kind of way but, lately your breath hasn't been smelling good and it has become hard for me to kiss you becuase of it.

after 3 years you should be able to talk to him gently tell him you've noticed his breath isn't so hot and he may need to see a dentist he may have an infection somewhere normally we can't smell our own breath so he prolly hasn't noticed

extra then in all likelihood this is not his teeth or his tongue. He might want to have a gum ailment which he might want to get it looked at cuz it would want to reason issues contained in the lengthy time period. He might want to really have a rotten teeth or a hollow area. also you may carry STD's on your mouth so as that is it too
