I suppose bringing up his glory days of 1973 was inevitable, but he's waited this long, but why couldn't that scum bag wait until Betty got home from the funeral?

After a quarter century, Woodoward is still frosted because the Nixon Pardon screwed up his follow on book to All The Presidents Men. Woodward was planning on hounding Nixon all the way to prison and then some, and Ford ruined all that, so he had to pick his next target early: The Supreme Court

Considering the Watergate era was a monumental event with waves reaching thirty years later. Ford made a heroic but suicidal decision to pardon Nixon, whom I despised. I was disappointed in Ford's decision which I saw as simply more political bargaining for power. However, once I cooled down, I realized Ford had made a huge sacrifice to help the American public move on. What a lovely notion for later Republicans to have recalled during the Clinton years. Hmmm, put the welfare of the people ahead of partisan posturing!

Woodward is a reporter privy to intimate details of a historic time in our country's history. He would be remiss not to share.

I agree that the timing is a bit off. I, too, would have preferred that Bob Woodward follow the personal request and wishes of Gerald Ford, but at an appropriate time. Next week or next month would have been better.

You think no one would mention Watergate if Woodward didnt bring it up? You're dreaming in this day of 24-hour news cycle.

NO he is not. He simply did as he had agreed to. Would you call the former prez a scumbag for not comming forward when he was alive? Name calling just shows your immaturity and ignorance. What about all the lies Bill O'Reiley spews constantly.
Is Bill a scumbag or is he one of your heros?

He was just bringing the wishes of a dead President to light.
It is history , get used to it. Wait till you see what they say 30 years from now about Bush.

He's worse than a total scumbag. I still think he holds a grudge against Pres. Ford for pardoning Nixon and not letting what his work started end in a president going to prison.

Bob Woodward was a total scumbag with or without bringing up Watergate again.

That pretty well sums it up. Woodward is a scumbag and not credible. He lost my respect with the Casey deathbed confessions, that only Woodward witnessed of course.
