it means the car isn't getting any gas. it may have several causes. give more info such as type of car, year, did it happen while driving? did it suddenly stop as it was parked. wouldn't start? without more to go on, know one can say much of anything.

There's a fuel shut-off switch on some cars that can be turned off or goes off when there's an accident. Depending on the car, it can be turned back on from a switch somewhere, often in the trunk.

The fuel pump relay is bad, or the fuel pump is bad, or the car has been bumped hard enough to trip the safety switch. It could be out of gas or the fuel filter plugged up.

If no fuel car wont run. Might be a bad fuel pump or a fuse to pumb bad

It is a safty feature to shut the fuel off when you are in an accident to help prevent a fire/explosion
