if anyone knows when games such as super smash bros for N64 will be available on the wii's virtual console please tell me. Any news about when another N64 game will be available would be helpful.

I'm sure that eventually the VC will have Smash Brothers.
Nintendo still owns Donkey Kong. When Rare made Donkey Kong Country, they were owned and paid by Nintendo, which means Rare was hired to make a game with the Donkey Kong license. It doesn't mean that Nintendo gave Rare the rights to the new Donkey Kong image.

I'm afraid the only people who will know that is Nintendo.
As for Smash Bros. it's unlikely that will ever be on the VC channel as it features Donkey Kong, which is now a product of RareWare/Microsoft, and even though Nintendo own the license to the newer look version of DK, they would still have to obtain a seperate licence to use the name and image.
