Boxing!!! It's real and very entertaing. They wear decent clothing. Happy New Year!

Both are great sports for combat. I've trained in both. I was a competitive wrestler all the way through college and into Olympic style wrestling and I trained in boxing gyms sparring and hitting the bags since 2000. Both have something to add to fighting, but I have always been able to take down a strict boxer due to their upright stance. It makes leg attacks very easy to achieve. However, a boxer with a good takedown defense would be able to clean up against a strict wrestler since wrestlers keep their hands low and don't have to defend against punches. A mix of both would be the most beneficial if you're looking for self defense. Being good at take downs and defending takedowns and being able to punch and defend against a punch would make you a very formidable opponent on the street or in the ring.

wrestling if it is real. the wrestling based grapper will take out any heavyweight box once he gets locked up the boxer. wish they would have that contest on tv to prove it. tv wrestling is silly and childish.
