Many ppl have said Soccer, i think its a great game to play, but only when they score goals its fun, i hate seeing games ending up 0 - 0 thats so annoying, and plus i hated when that italy guy purposely fell over when they beat us 1 - 0, we were going so good and than we were robbed. The Aussies would of won.

i dont reckon hockey or lacrosse are good sports, when i try to watch them, theres just no atmosphere, lacrosse is okay but normal hockey, bloody hell thats boring its like soccer but with a stick, if i compared soccer to hockey id say soccer.
Rugby is okay but theres not much scoring i reckon, its a repition game, one side is trying to get to the other side. And rugby doesnt have much skill to be honest.

There is a list of five attributes of various sports. The more attributes a sport has, the better quality it is. The list is:

1. High skill level.
2. High speed.
3. Continuous action.
4. Violence that is within the rules.
5. Visibility of the competitors.

Here's a list of many popular sports and which attributes they have. All sports at a high level have a high skill level, but I mention it anyway for completeness.

Baseball and Cricket: 1, 2, 5
Basketball and Volleyball: 1, 2, 3, 5
Football (Canada and the US): 1, 2, 4, 5
Football (world game): 1, 2, 3, 5
Team Handball: 1, 2, 3, 5
Motorsports: 1, 2, 3, 4
Sailing and rowing: 1, 2, 3
Raquet sports (Tennis, Badminton, etc.): 1, 2, 5
Golf: 1, 5
Curling: 1, 5
Swimming: 1, 2, 3
Cycling, Track and Field, Triathlon: 1, 2, 3, 4
Boxing, Wrestling (olympics) and Martial Arts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Hockey: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Rugby: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Lacrosse: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Did you notice that the last four are the _only_ sports that have all five attributes? If you watch them, you'll notice that they're the most exciting except for boxing; sports that *seek* to cause permanent injury or death should be banned. Wrestling and Martial Arts don't seek to cause injury, but I don't find them exciting enough to watch.

So this puts Hockey, Lacrosse, and Rugby as the three best team sports. Hockey and Indoor Lacrosse (or Box Lacrosse as it's also called) are better than Rugby and unique to ALL team sports for one reason: they allow substituion DURING play. In any other team sport, you can't change players without the referee's permission, and you can only do it during a stoppage in play; in hockey and lacrosse, you can change players constantly. This means they are less tired and can move faster. (And hockey is better than lacrosse: skates mean you can still move even when you don't move your feet. There's no other sport that can say it except cycling.)

If this doesn't make you agree that hockey and lacrosse are the most exciting sports, it's because you have a biased preference toward one personal favourite and aren't interested in the facts. Try watching them sometime.

Soccer.
1. It's the most popular in the world
2. Anyone can play with enough hard work put in. (you don't have to be tall like in b-ball or big like in football)
3. Involves a lot of athleticism and skill.
4. Same rules for both men and women (although refs let more contact with men) For example in Basketball the 3 point line is moved further back for men, for baseball women play softball, women can't play football, ect.

Soccer is by far the best sport ever. There is a lot of skill needed and speed, endurance and lots of tactics to get the ball into the goal. Goals don't happen often cause the players are so good its almost at a standstill. Its one hell of a sport to play

The way I see it, it's baseball. You can never stop talking about it. So many stats, so much history. Believe it or not, it's the sport about which more books have been written and more movies have been made.

I also like football (soccer) and have always played squash, but baseball is, for me, the best sport in the world.

Soccer and any stile of martial arts. Soccer is fast, it's fun, and has lots of running. Martial arts teaches you many different skills in agility, strength, stamina, and is also fun and a really good sport.

American football. The NFL is easily my favorite sports organization.

There are only 16 regular season games and only play once a week so it's easy to follow.

GO COWBOYS!

Ice Hockey is the best sport in the world.
It is a game of strength, speed, balance, and skill.
Not only do you have to be tough to play it, But you have to be skilled enough to not hurt someone.
