is moon sand realy made up of moon sand or is it just the name, my son has some and i thought it was just the name , until it had actual facts about the moon and the sand on the moon

I have never heard of moon sand, but I can tell you that all the real lunar material collected by NASA is under lock and key. None of it is being sold. There are rumors of black market Moon rocks selling for big bucks, so if this moon sand is less expensive than gold dust, it isn't really from the Moon.

Sand crystallizes in liquid water. There is no liquid water or sand on the moon.

Sand from the moon is really moon sand. Your son doesn't have any, but he may have been duped.
