How do they get all the camera footage? I was watching the one where he was in the Sierra Mountains and scaled down a 300 ft steep cliff with no gear and the camera dude was right next to him the whole way. And on the Rainforest one where he jumps down a waterfall the camera crew had to do it to then? If the camera crew is equipped with the proper equipment, food, and water than it ruins the reality of the whole show beacause the guy would always have water incase he couldnt find any. HOW DO THEY DO IT?

They have more than one cameraman and sometimes Bear will film himself. Unfortunately, I think Bear is more of a shocking kind of survival expert. But since there is a camera crew there with all of the necessary supplies for them to survive, it is true that Bear will never starve to death, or be far from a drink of water. Who knows what goes on when the camera cuts or if they edit certain things out. I like to watch this show for entertainment and information and not for a reality kind of show. If you want reality survival I suggest you check out Survivor Man. This guy films the whole thing himself, so he is working twice as hard to survive because he sets up shots that look cool, but he has to travel back and grab the camera equipment.

The camera crew will leave him if his life is in danger, to save their own. They very well may be equipped, I would guess so, with rigging and supplies.

But he is supposed to be real all the way.

Did you see the one where he pissed on his shirt so he could wrap it around his head? If there was someone standing there with water......I think I'd just say I found some water.

I don't know though, maybe it's like Survivor. The camera person is there to film him and can't really interact with him.
