Never trust Wal mart. I have direct experience about what a disreputable and dishonest company they are. I am writing from England and I warn anyone working anywhere for this company that only a fool signs contracts with the devil. They only reason they get away with breaking the British law is because they have so much money and the system is so obviously corrupt.
If I were you I would leave them before they booted you out. Find another job you can be proud of. I would hang my head in shame if I still worked for this company.

You are probably due for an evaluation. They evaluate after the first 3 months(I think or it might sooner) and then yearly on your hire date.
Yes, it will determine the amount you get. If you have been doing a good job, you have nothing to worry about.
I used to work for Walmart and never had any problems, I only left because I work in Home Health Care now.

Don't worry. Remember what Starbucks and Wal-Mart are all about? It's passion... putting the customer in front of you before anything else.
You walk within near sight of a customer, you ask them if you could help. You keep a smile on your face, help people out, keep the wal-mart passion going, you should be fine.
Best of luck
