The cheapest (time+money) way of transportation would be low-cost airline.
London - Berlin - Paris, check at
www.airberlin.com start from 19Euro
Amsterdam - Paris - Brussel - London, check at
www.ryanair.com start from 10Euro
You can combine train and low-cost airline but in my opinion, Spending too much time in the train is not that fun. First 3-4 hours would be OK for me, but it's boring after that.
And if money is a real deal for you, I suggest you an international bus, check at;
