I'm in the sixth too, but i'm not required to use knives...you could kill somebody????!!!!

One experiment might be to compare heating plastic knives in a conventional oven to heating them in a microwave oven for various amounts of time and different settings. Compare distortion of the plastic in the knives. Be sure to use a control such as being a knife placed in the oven without heat for the same amount of time.

joking. do one to determine the sharpness of a variety of knives. wow i am surprise that ur school would let u do an experiment with knives. my school would think we would cut off a finger or something, =D good luck hope u make an A++++++++++++

Here is one if you have access to petri dishes. Take a swab and compare things freshly handwashed, freshly dishwashed, and one that has been in the drawer.

Well... that's easy.

Stab yourself right in the hand. Then document the infection and healing process. Take pictures of your wound every 12 hours, and report on any new progress.. how the wound fills with pus... the coagulation process and the platelets... what happens when the skin begins to regenerate.

You could even title it... "the day I stabbed myself".

see if there is a difference in sharpness of a knife if you sharpen them in heat, normal temp, and frezing temp

you could test by dropping a knife on an apple, the amount of penetration will tell you how sharp it is.
