You put your own personal life out there for public scrutiny and ask people to comment, then you comlain when they do. That's more annoying I think.

It's actually not illegal, but it might depend where you live. It's not illegal where i'm from. If anyone is over 18 and having sex with a minor then that is illegal, but if there within 2-3 years age or something like that then it's okay I can't remembe exactly. For instance, i'm 17 and my boyfriend's 19. He was 18 and I was 16 when we first had consensual sex but it's legal here because of our 2 year age gap, and now that i'm 17 i'm technically considered legal.
There's always little things like that in the law that aren't really said, you have to search around for them. But I don't really think that 16 and 13 year olds should be having sex, it seems like they're too far apart in age and one is kind of taking advantage of the other(but i'm sure there are exceptions to relationships, but idk about sex). Waiting is something to look into, but i'm not here to preach really. When I first had sex I was 15, he was 17 and we were going out for a year and 2 months. I thought I had everything perfect and afterwards everything fell to **** and I knew I was NOT ready for what happened, physically yes. Emotionaly NO. We broke up not even less than a week after because he was the one that couldn't cope with what our relationship just unfolded.
Those are things to think about, and at your age you really should. Std's, and pregnancy is a big issue. He might be a virgin, but someone can be born with an std and never know about it :/
Okay done preaching, lol sorry. But please think about it, most girls like myself that have lost there virginity young wish to take it back.

Okay, I'm gonna answer this, and I'll piss people off by being totally honest, but here it goes. It depends on the state you live in. You being 13 and him 16, yes he can get arrested, but your parents would have to find out and bring up the charges. 18 is the legal age for a girl to have sex, but a lot of states will not bring up a statutory rape charge unless the girl is either under 16 or the parents just really, really bug the crap out of the court system and get a lawyer.
And finally, having made this stupid decision myself long ago, you are being really ignorant of other people's well-intentioned advice, and yeah, you should wait, because a 16 year old boy will have no idea what to do with a girl other that put it in and get off, and you won't know what to do other than just lay there. There's your info, hope your happy.

Most people have your best interest at heart. From an adult perspective they know the consequences of not waiting. Regardless if they know you or him, doesn't matter, they know your ages, they know all the possibilities that are negative of such an encounter.
It doesn't get on my nerves, it renews my faith in most people.
If people were to, by and large, support your decision to have sex as a 13 yr old with a 16 yr old, I'd be questioning people's reasoning.
Folks who are under 18 should be waiting until they are deemed an adult either by age or a court or by law.
13 is not an age at which to be having sex. End of story.

Because; even though we don't know you we still care and want you to make the best decision. So therefore you get our two cents. I think you wanted to hear it or else you would have just looked it up on a legal page. but you are probably lying and lookin for a rise. You admitted to being a poser with the baby you already had questions. Does it bother you that people still care about your situation even though you probably lied on every question here? Are you even a 13yo girl, or are you someone messing with the caring people on yahoo answers.

When you ask a question on here you are going to get a lot of opinions weather or not you want them. Even tho you may know it is coming and try to head it off with comments like “I don’t care if you think I should wait” they are going to answer and give there opinions. Price we pay for posting questions in such a public forum.
it is because your both under age you will get lots of comments from lots of people who wished they waited or think you should. Moreover, if you’re posting questions like that or this one it shows you’re not old enough to make such a important decision as sex at 13 would be.

Nope, questions like this do though. I mean honestly, those people were probably just trying to be helpful. Fact is, most of us are older than you and have been through so much more than you that we feel like we know what is best. Maybe even some of us have been that 13 year old that slept with a 16 year old and have learned it was a major mistake. You should be more open to those who are trying to be helpful.

they were just trying to help you out because it seems to me that you dont know wrong from right yet and stop TyPiNg LiKe ThIs cus it gets on people's nerves. anyways 13 and 16 having sex is illegal no matter what you think. you need to go talk to your parents and your parents are wrong for letting you see a 16 year old and if you guys do have sex then he can go to jail for your stupidness.

Because some of us don't want to have to pay for the state to help you raise a baby. You're 13 - how much money do you make on your job? How are you gonna pay to raise this baby?
Sex equals babies. No birth control method is 100% effective.

Well, that explains it. Your 13. You don't know any better. There are adults on this and they know better than you. And I think you are lying. If you don't want people posting what you don't want to hear, just don't post a question at all. Ok? Ok. So get off the computer and get some help.

Do what you want I personally don't care you aren't my child, you are just another statistic that my tax money will be paying for when you start popping those kids out, you do know that sex equals babies right and sex also leads to fatal diseases like Aids? Do what you like,
