I'm one of them, and it's not because of religious reasons. I'm not ugly or anything like that. People are usually surprised when I tell them. They always ask me why I'm a virgin and I tell them that I don't have that much of an interest in sex. They never believe me when I say that, because I'm a guy. Part of me just wants to do it and get it over with, and the other part is lazy and says that it won't be worth the effort. I don't wear my virginity like a badge, but if people ask me, I'm not ashamed to tell them. I'm not worried, but I'm turning 21 in April and I don't want to eventually end up like Steve Carell in The 40 Year Old Virgin. Do you think I should just get it over with while I'm still young? Please don't give me any lectures about waiting until marriage or until I'm ready. It's only a question of motivation, not readiness. Thank you.

There's nothing wrong with you still being a virgin. You just need to concentrate on making good with your life and f**k what society says. When the right girl comes along, I feel you'll know what to do. Good luck!

I think it's great you're still a virgin! I think it's saying it for itself, you're just waiting for the right person and that's awesome! Having sex with the right person eliminates nervousness, and self consciousness. Hot sex does lead to heartache because One person will always start to feel something more, when really it's just hot sex. You do what you want, and what feels right. If you feel like waiting some more, than wait some more! Just do things on your won terms, and don't worry about other people's opinions. If you're worried a girl will be a b***, don't be. If a girl is gonna flip cuz you've never had sex, she's not worth given it to. Hope everything turns out okay!

There is nothing wrong with it. My friends son is 20 (had his birthday thiis month) and he is a virgin. He just hasn't found the 'right' girl yet. I think it's great that people are waiting to have sex in this day and age. It is rare these days to find it. Any woman would be proud to have you as theirs. Just be patient. You will find the right one and then you will have sex. Please don't rush it. I wish I hadn't of rushed into it and have regretted it since. I am now 42 and see the mistakes I made way back when. If I had it to do over again, I would not do those things again, including having sex at 18 and keep on going from there.

I think there is nothing wrong with being your age and being a virgin. I was 16 when I lost my virginity and I did it just to get it over with, which I still regret. If I were in your shoes I would just continue to wait until I was with someone that I really cared about. I don't think you will end up being like the 40 year old virgin! And now I have that image of him being waxed in my head! haha...Good luck to you and just do what you think is best! Hate to sound cheesy but you'll know when the time is right!

"You can't hurry love" and just like that you should not hurry sex.
You will be ready when you are ready.
You will find the right person to be your first.
Remember that in the 40-year old Virgin Steve Carell was much better adjusted than the other guys.

It is hard to be a male virgin in our society, because the male subculture in America is all about three things: sex, sports, and being cool. If you choose not to have sex, something must be wrong with you. Typically, young men in your position are virgins for several reasons: they haven't met anyone they were interested in, they aren't exposed to a lot of girls, their religion is against premarital sex, and/or they lack confidence.

Don't have sex just because people make fun of you for being a virgin. That's ludicrous. Besides, it isn't like there is a huge group of women out there just waiting to have sex with any random guy. If you don't want a female companion who you can spend time with, then forget it.

I think you should just wait until you are completely ready and motivated.
What is the rush? If you don't have any real desire to have sex, why would you do it?Just wait.Eventually the right person will come along and maybe then you will change your mind.

I lost my virginity when I was 20,I'm not ugly, either, you can check my 360. I just hadn't found anyone worth having sex with until then, And honestly just like you really wasn't that interested in having it, either. I was more like ONE Of the guys than anything else..

My opinion is that you just haven't been with the right person yet. Believe me, if you were dating the right person, the motivation would be there. If you seriously have no sex drive, maybe you should talk to a doctor because it could be a hormonal issue.
