They will select Brady Quinn. He is the safest pick and will keep the grumbling down in Raider Nation. Brian Brohm may be a better choice though, he has the downfield arm that Al Davis craves. Forget about the people who say Smith, he doesnt figure to be a top 10 pick (most draft boards rate him as a mid 1st rounder) and he lacks ideal size (dont listen to the Drew Brees comparisons, they are completely different QB's). Understanding the way players are ranked is part of how a draft works, watch on draft day when Mel Kiper points out the flaws in Smiths game. He is a great college QB and has the potential to be a good pro but NFL teams shelling out big money want the best possible value for the dollar. They are looking for the one guy that can take the heat of Raider Nation and Brady fits that bill (playing in the N.D. spotlight is no picnic). Order your Quinn jerseys now raider fans, he will be your QB of the future (and based on the QB situation there, the future may start on week 1 next year).

they need to select an entire college team. but they should go with troy smith if they want someone with similar appeal and ability as vince young. hopefully they can have a season like the titans.

If they keep their first pick and do not trade it, would appear that they would select Quinn. Thats what the early projections have, but that can always change.
