The Kurd trial was under way, and I think it had completed, but no verdict yet.
It is possible that America might have supplied Saddam the Chemical weapons, that was wrong, if true. But it is also wrong to gas 5,00 Kurds.
I think some of the chemical weapons might have been intended against Iran. After all, Iran / Iraq were at war with each other. The US decided to take side with Iraq because of the kidnapping of our US citizens in 1979 who were held for over 400 days.
The US should have done a better job on foreign policy back then.
The UN also issued 17 UN resolutions over 12 years. Each resolution was a chance for Saddam to come clean. So he had 17 chances over 12 years.

I think you need to check with the Iraqis on this (especially the Shiites), but Iraqi law does not allow for 25 years of appeals on a sentence. Once the death sentence was passed, it automatically went to the appellate court, which upheld it. Iraqi law states that the sentence must be applied within 30 days, unless postponed by the powers that be...
Saddam was scheduled to go on trial for the deaths of the Kurds, should he have been acquitted on these charges.
Unless you have specific information about the origin of the gas used on the Kurds (you don't think the Iraqis could have produced it?), I wouldn't throw out baseless accusations.
Saddam should have been executed for a myriad of crimes, but he got zapped for the first set he was accused of...I personally believe the Kurds should have had their day in court - them, more than any others - but the Iraqis set the agenda (again, mostly the Shiites).

Most industrial nations make and sell weapons!
What matters is How the weapons are used! If Blair ordered the Army to kill everyone in an English town He'd be tried and found guilty too!!
If Saddam Hussien had been tried on everything he was accused of, it would have been the longest trial in History!
How many Death sentences do you need? ONE!
Now give us all a break and shut-up, Whether right or wrong its been done and cannot be changed!

Lets not talk about the human rights and democracy. Since when did America started promoting democracy? Why they are so friendly with Pakistan? And what about the human rights of the people of Iraq and Afghanistan? If the countries that you have named stop manufacturing the weapons of destruct ions, the world will be a nicer place but those countries will go bankrupt. America is a merchant nation, not a world leader.

yes. and the shea's claim they are muslims but like to put a twist to Islam. They have made it EXTREMELY HARD for muslims. The reason sadam killed the kurds and shea's ids becase they were making a messing up the name of Islam.
Islam does not llow muslims to hurt thier own bodies, nor does it allow muslims to hurt anyone elses. Allah is giver and taker. We have no right to take anyones life.
However the sheas and kurds see it differently and made out that if you commit suicide and blow your selves in to millions of mushy peaces with the rest around you, you will enter heaven and rewarded with 72 virgins? NOT!!!!
Sheas hurt themselves during a certain ceremony screaming and crying "ya ali ya ali" and swing swords and other shrp weapons on thier bare bodies. This is not allowed in Islam.
Sadam wanted to stop this because it is not part of Islam. Yet the kurds still claim they are muslims and this is part of Islam.
The Kurds are killers. the british and americans supplied the weapons to Sadam.
I have just watched to whole execution and atched the part where he is ACTUALLY hung and dies. The Iraqis were so sick. Honestly the angel of death hadnt even finished taking Sadams life and soal out of him and all the Kurds could do was take photgraphs and shout slurs at Sadam.

I find it amusing how the only reason Saddam is "dead" is because Bush is too stupid to know the difference between Saddam and Osama, and it was "Osama" that planned 9/11, and killed 3,000 people, but the American Armed Forces have killed 660,000 people in Iraq so far, yet Bush hasn't been hung.
If you follow this line of logic, the Iraqi's could kill 657,000 American citizens, and Bush would be executed.

saddam execute shea traitors who were allied to the iranian enemies, and tried to kill the presedent. saddam never used gas against kurds, the iranians did. the american masonic media admitted that in 1989. after trouble with khomaini about salman rushdy. but they went back to accuse iraq, because it was the real dangor on the masonic imperialism.

I don't think so. He was found guilty and was executed expediently by Iraq rules. Unlike the US where someone can continuously appeal and get stays of execution.
