There is no hard and fast rule for MP3 storage. The factors are the sampling rate of the song (The higher the sampling rate, the larger the file). And the actual length of the song in minutes & seconds. I did some quick math and figure roughly 650 songs on a 4 GB hard drive. Keep in mind the higher sampling rate gives you BETTER sound. I use a minimum of 192kbps. I would rather have 600 high quality songs, then 1000 lesser sounding tunes. Although most players come with inferior ear buds.

It can depends based on what kind of music you have. I'm pretty sure 3 minutes of music with loads of insturments and many notes playing at the same time will take up more space than 3 minutes of country music with just a guitar and a few minor insturments with few notes to play, don't you?

around 128 hrs of music total.
around 52 hrs of music is what you have left.

I know it holds 1,000 songs. I don't know how many hours though.

at teh bottom of your library page it will tell you how long the music will last. Do the math/.
