I am trying to use my data cable for my sanyo phone. My computer is saying I need to install a driver before I can use it.

You can either download it or find it on a cd that it came with. As for which one, google is your friend.

If this is an inexpensive cable that you bought off EBay or somewhere on the internet you are going to have to get the drivers from the vendor. If it is one from Sanyo the drivers should be on their website.

Go to Sanyo's website, look up the driver for the phone and install it. Easy Peasy Cheesy!

Cables don't have drivers. You need the driver for the phone. Go to Sanyo.com, pick your phone model and go to support.

in truth you don't need a driver for the cable you need the driver that is for your phone. and in truth you can try www.driverguide.com and try there but the thing is that you can try your phones manufactures website for help.
