Sorry about your fish. If you think he's dying, I would suggest just leaving him alone. Check on him tomorrow, and if he's floating on the top you can conclude that he's dead.

First things first, I wouldn't feed him anything over the next couple of days except for a few cooked peas. You can just put some frozen peas in the microwave with a little bit of water for about 1 1/2 minutes. Then squeeze them into the water, only letting the middle of them fall down. These might help to fix your fix if he's "backed up". Other then that, just let nature take its course. You never know, he could get better!

Sorry. My betta died last year of old age. He was bloated and a lot of his scales were off or very dull.

I'm sorry. cover his tank with a blanket so you don't have to see him suffer. Then when he does finally go, you can buy a potted plant and bury him in it. That way you always have a living memorial of your friend.

This sounds like maybe a bladder infection, though don't quote me on that. The best thing you can do is give him EPSON salt baths or dips, and cross your fingers.
