Sony Vegas DVD Achitect?How to make DVD movie?

I have SONY PCK-K23 Notebook...and it came with sony vegas and sony dvd achitect...but i don't know if i have dvd burner in my...notebook...it says dvd ROM...but when i put in DVD -R it says no disk.....so am i doing some thing wrong or do i need different kind of dvd disk..or what is the solution....PLEASE HELP!!!

If i do get DVD burner..is it complicated to install..it on my laptop..and i have SONY 8i tape camera..would have good resolution in dvd?

It sounds like you have a DVD-ROM drive which can only read the dvd's. You will have to get an actual dvd burner in order to burn dvd's.
