If you want to put your DVD's on your player, you will need some DVD ripping software to rip it to your hard drive. If you want to put some movies on there, first try to put the videos into your WMP. If it won't work, then you probably need to get an mp4 converter for videos. I recommend this program. Its made for ipods, but you can decide how you want the audio and video on this program

If you have a staples near where you live, they have a converter program that rips movies and puts them on the computor. It says it its supposed to be used with just Ipod and PSP, but it can be put on WMP. The programis $40 to buy, but it also comes with a cord to plug it into the TV. Any MP4 to TV cord might not work normally, but configuring the Yellow, Red, and White cords around in different order might work. That's what I had to do with my new Zune to work with a regular camcorder cable.

Anyway, If you dont live by a Staples, buy a converter program online. You can find plenty of different ones on google. But before you buy one, make sure it can copy copyright protected DVDs. In otherwords, all DVDs. The only thing non-copy protected are home movies and other things like that.
