My skin was irritated by Proactive the first time I used it, but it is slowly getting used to the product as people say thats what you need to do. So people say irritation is normal for about 1 week... Other people are saying that Proactive doesnt do that to anyone and it must be that Im alergic to Benzoyl... But I used other acne medicines that have that and nothing bad happened. In my opinion, I finally found something thats working even though I have only been using for 3 days I see some improvement, and I just want to know if the irritation will really go away... I think it will because I keep using it, and it bothers me less and less, and now its just a tiny bit when I used it today.. Othr people say they always feel it and it works... Idk what to do. So if you have used Proactive for a while please let me know if irritation for about a week or so is regular when first using the product.

it's regular. your skin isn't used to the action pro-active makes on your face. the acne is being fighted so it will feel a little weird, but the acne will go away in no time and you will get used to the effects pro-active has on your face.

Even if you only have reactions to it for a short time then you should probably stop using it. I stopped using it for a few days when I was out of town because I forgot to pack it. When I got home I started using it again and the irritation was just as bad. My dermatologist said I am probably allergic to benzoyl peroxide so now I am using Clearasil and I love it. It has salcylic acid and it less rough on your skin. Plus it has a three day guarantee and I saw results the next morning.

It is normal for people with sensitive skin to have a reaction to Proactive. I did and it didn't go away. What you will have to do is skip a day in between uses that way your skin won't be hopelessly irritated. You will not be able to use it as frequently but I believe the results are the same.

Proactive was a little harsh for me at first. It worked for awhile, but then my skin got use to it and it stopped working. I started using Arbonne, the Intelligence Line and it has been a blessing.
I became a consultant to get the product at the discounted price. It is also less expensive then proactive.
Check it out on line at Arbonne.com

Im not sure but be careful with that stuff. I know this one kid who has dark brown hair and was using it and accidently got it in his hair line. It bleached his hair. Just be careful and I hope you get some good answers. GOOD LUCK.
