i am a nerd so if it hits the Ford since it is a old style an 1974 it isn't as strong so it would hit the car slid on the railing and slow the train down but the car would look like it fallen apart and completely wrecked. and you idea was on the right track. it would cause major damage to sides and front and back. hope this helps
