Go down to the bayfront of my city with my family to watch fireworks. They are awesome fire works that are paid for by the city. There is also usually a concert. I didn't get tickets but I can usually hear it anyway. I know you didn't ask, but last year was a disaster because my dad arrived an hour late. My favorite thing to do on New Years is watch fire works so i was sad but i wasn't a big selfish baby about it.

I'm going down to the Volunteer Fire Department Station. We will be hanging around playing some games and snacking, probably until about 1 or 2 am. Those members who's wives are also members will likely exchange kisses at midnight.
We will be drinking water, soft drinks, unspiked eggnog (maybe, if anyone brings some), maybe some hot chocolate and coffee.
We will be waiting in case some foolish person(s) decide it's okay to drive drunk on New Years and we have to go pull him/her out of what ever is left of their car. Providing anythings left of them.
We will also be waiting in case the worst happens to someones home and it catches fire, or a party gets out of hand and someone gets hurt. You know. The usual stuff.
Honestly, I'm hoping we have a very boring new years eve and day.

Being that I have no babysitter, I'm going to stay home, let my three year old stay up a little longer, throw a little confetti up in the air, etc. Since your question is in the television catagory I'll tell you that I'll probably watch Xena after he goes to bed.
