Our cat has been snoring really loud lately. I've never noticed this before because she's a show cat we got from Germany and we haven't had her all that long. Anyone ever hear of cats doing this?

Our Yorki Terrier snores. So, I suppose if a dog can snore there is no reason a cat can't sore, too. happy new year

Oh God yes. My cat snores very loud. And sometimes it really sucks, because in the middle of the night, the cat will snuggle up next to my head...and then later on snore into my ear. Ahhh! : )

My cat purrs very loudly in my ear when he is happy but it sounds like a jet engine revving up! I guess it all depends on the distance to your ear too...LOL I know it is more prominant in flat faced dogs, snoring that is, would this happen to be a flat faced cat? That also might account for it or perhaps the change in the climate...it could be a lot of things.

I have heard of cats that do snore, especially if they are fat/overweight, but I have never heard one do it. I have 3 cats, and not one of them snores. I have had dogs that snore, tho.
