If I had to choose...I'd say..Follow your heart..If the roller coaster ride is fun..fullfilling...and leaves you in your seat afterwards, safe, secure, and still in LOVE with the one who shares the cart with you...during the ups and downs...Then don't just give up. Now, on the other hand...If you misinterpret, or welcome the things that make the decision difficult..when the roller coaster operator asks if you mind a bumpy ride, then you should say what you feel, and not hold back..because that is how folks get heartbroken, and feel Really Bad for things when it is too late. Respectful is nice..but you have to set boundaries and stick to them.you Can't change your mind at someone elses expense after they were adamant in making sure that things were mutually comfortable. I'm 32, and in a situation I've never been in before...Kinda like yours..I love this woman dearly..but am very scared that Love Has Once again left me standing in the rain, making showers of my own from within my eyes......Due to mutual feelings....not feeling mutual...I don't know what else to say...For you, I say You can have peace with someone else..even if it is crazy....For me..I think I may be getting bad news soon...I hope I'm wrong. But if I made a mistake...I fear the outcome will devastate me to an extent where I just don't want to love anymore...Because I've tried, and failed....One last time.

I am 48 years old and been married 4 times and lived long term with two women. I am currently living with a woman for the last 5 years with no plans of ever getting married again.
I have lived all three A, B and C. I have to say I hated "A" the most of all. My last divorce was completed just over 5 years ago. It was one of the wild ones where she was 12 years younger then I am. Too good looking and too hard to hang on to.
C is the best answer but B works great. However you must try out A in order to know how good and bad it can get.

C
As part of living a peaceful life happy with being alone, while doing whatever and whoever floats my boat at the convienience of only myself; I seek out "A" type relations when ever they come about.

A. The lows would suck, but the Highs would justify them. I continue to live because in spite of how many bad things that will happen to me, the only way I will be allowed to enjoy the good is by enduring the bad. This is what makes life worth living. I'm 24 years old.

I think you have defined here, the differences in relationship preferences from adolescence to old age, in order, just as they happen in most cases.
This is how my relationship life has gone from A to C... I am (for the most part) at B right now approaching C rapidly.
C usually comes as a result of the death of a lifelong spouse.

I would choose B, but life didn't hand me that set of cards, thus C must be the answer since that is what I was dealt.
I'm 53 - could be 54, tend to lose track over 50, lol!
Happy New Year.

I would choose C. Because in C I get to experience the A and B also since those are and can only be C.
