you have to get over 250 points, which you earn by answering other people's questions, choosing a best answer for your question, voting for a best answer, logging in (one point once a day), receiving a thumbs-up rating on a best answer that you wrote (up to 50 thumbs-up are counted), and having your answer selected as the best answer

Points needed to reach different levels:
Level 7 - 25000+
Level 6 - 10000 - 24999
Level 5 - 5000 - 9999
Level 4 - 2500 - 4999
Level 3 - 1000 - 2499
Level 2 - 250 - 999
Level 1 - 1 - 249

You earn points for answering, getting best answer, signing on once a day to yahoo!. once you get 250 points you're at level 2!

Don't ask questions, they take 5 points away. Answer as many questions as your allowed each day, you get 2 points for each. Also if your question is picked as best you get an extra 10 points.Be kind and pick a best answer to your question so someone can receive there 10 points,if everyone would do that it would help. You get 1 point just for signing in each day. Good luck and have some fun while you gain points. *
