it is not likely that sparklers will start a fire on the ground, especially at this time of year although, if the grass is very dry or even dead that sparkler could ignite the grass, but that shouldnt/wouldnt be enough to start a fire...

Maybe if the grass is REALLY dry. I see sparklers in cake at restaurants all the time and no one gets hurt.

It's possible if the grass is very dry. Just to be on the safe side you need to have a water hose on hand or even a quart or half a gallon spray bottle should do it.

while i became a toddler we used to place sparklers interior the floor, yet now that i'm an grownup, and stay in NJ, i'm not allowed to purchase sparklers. So in accordance to our legislatures, it is not secure.
