I wouldn't say normal. Alot of women(including myself) have bleeding but do go on to have a normal healthy child. Now that being said, bleeding is often the first sign of a miscarriage. You didn't mention any cramping or how much blood. Bleeding+cramping is much more serious than just bleeding. You still def. need to go see a doctor. They can give you an ultrasound to make sure everything is intact. Try to stay off your feet as much as possible. I did have a subchorionic hemmorhage that caused bleeding for 2 weeks at 7 weeks but has since cleared up and I am now 17 weeks. I know that because I went to see my dr. and was put on bedrest with very little pelvic movement, no heavy lifting, etc. Please just go see a dr.

Spotting in early pregnancy can be normal. I have had 2 previous miscarriages and am currently 39 weeks pregnant and have had brownish to pinkish spotting with all 3 pregnancies, usually between 6-8 weeks. My OB/GYN and also the fertility specialist that I saw (same doctor who helped Lance Armstrong and his wife get pregnant when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer) did not seem concerned about the spotting and advised that I monitor it for any drastic changes (changes in color and amount). It could be old blood (thus the brown color) from implantation bleeding (when the embryo attaches or implants itself to the uterine wall) or even from sex. When you are pregnant, there is increased blood flow and your cervix is extra sensitive; sex can cause broken blood vessels and thus the spotting (sex is typically not prohibited during pregnancy unless you have a history of miscarriage and are advised by the doctor not to have it). Best thing to do when in doubt is to call the doctor's office and let them know what is going on; they will either reassure you or have you come in. Hope this helps!

It is not something to ignore. You should call your doctor and ask them on what you should do. I started bleeding after a positive preg test with my very first child and ended up having a miscarriage. This doesn't mean you will, but it is something you need to talk to your doc about. If it gets worse, definitely go to the emergency room.

Usually if its light spotting, its implantation bleeding. Just watch it and make sure it doesn't get heavier or with severe cramps. Congrats and I wish you all the best!!

A little bit of spotting early is relatively common.
In my experience, it will probably stop in a few days. If it doesn't, or it seem heavy, you should probably try to get in to see a doctor.
Congrats, and good luck!

Sometimes, yes. Please go see a doctor immediately. It is probably nothing. Don't guess. Bleeding during pregnancy should always be checked out. Please go see a doctor. Good luck to you.
