I recently just found out that my best friend just became a goth I don't know why she went and did that but her personality changed and she's really bitter and cold towards me she is starting to freak me out with all those weird chants she be saying she is beginning to become a bad influence on my sister and I don't like that my sister is starting to dress in all black and wear that nasty makeup and she thinks its cool I really don't want to be friends with her anymore but I'm really scared to tell her because goths are pretty scary at most times please I need some advice?

Your friend isn't REALLY a goth. what passes for GOTH is in fact not. Wearing black, chanting, piercings, tatts is not being Goth it is comforming to what is perceived as goth. IF your friend truly was goth she would know the history of the Gothic era etc. She's just a "wanna be" like the rest of those who claim to be Goth because they think it makes them different when it makes them exactly like all the other wanna bes.

i went goth once then i said it was stupid and quit i lasted 5 hours.
what im saying is its just a phase she will get over it.

The best thing you can do is talk to her and that is about all. Tell her how you feel and I am sure she will talk to you.

there really nothing wrong with her she well be fine just know she well be staying away form drug and gangs.
