The skin there is very sensitive, and not meant to be shaved. Removing the hair exposes skin to friction, plus the hair kept the air circulating in the area, so now the sweat just sits there and gets putrid, so you probably stink as well as itch. Just let the hair grow. You're an adult now, and adults have hair there. Live with it.

Yes, that is normal for both men and women. Especially if you shaved against the grain or used normal soap. Don't freak out if you see a lot of little red bumps either because that's razor burn. Even if you shaved against the grain the act of shaving itself can rip the hair out and causes razor burn.

Here's a tip. Try buying a shaving product for that area. This is going to sound funny because it is marketed to women but can be used on all body areas that you want to shave. It's a product called "Coochy" by Slumber Parties. It is a rash free body shave cream. I know there is a more technical way to put this but it eases the process of the hair getting ripped out so the skin isn't irritated and then the itching/razor burn doesn't occur. I have used it twice on my legs and private parts and for the first time ever had no razor burn or immediate itching.

However, when the hair starts to grow back and becomes stubbly it can itch a little even with this cream just because the area may be grinding against your skin/clothing when you move.

If you can't get a rash free body shave cream, then just make sure you're shaving with the grain and don't press really hard with the razor. Try to make sure you're using shaving cream instead of regular bar soup too.

I realize I'm not a man but I hope this helps!

Oh if you are interested in the Coochy rash free body shave cream you can contact who I got it from. Her email is catharine.small@slumberparties.com. She would also be able to tell you more about it.

It is very normal for you to become itchy after shaving anywhere on your body. I shave my face, chest, stomach and pubic area. After several shavings, the itchy feeling goes away. I've been doing it for about 5 months now and I have no problems with it. My lady loves the way my body feels when it is shaved. Hell, we shave each other. Peace.

As soon as that hair grows back it begins to be itchy, this will happen even if you shave a million times. I find this a rather bizarre practice since it is sooooo annoying not to mention time consuming.

It will only last a few weeks, but be ready, it itches more when it starts growing back.

It is even itchier if you don't shave it and keep it longer!!

It won't be long...perhaps a few days but less than a week.
