Well it depends where you live but be original - wear clothes that you are comfy in, that's fashionable at the moment. Shop around and see if you can pick up some bargains from charity shops and find a style that suits you, that's what style really is. Fashion is a dead boring thing, you were born an original, live and die like one. Not a sheep like most other girls!!

get ideas from vogue and other such magazines, and see how you can apply them to your wardrobe practically, without going overboard.
some good staples to have are heeled boots, multiple pairs of dark wash skinny jeans, ballet flats, and a couple waist belts (red and black are always good).
it really depends on the look you're going for, but i've found that the clothes listed above go with practically any style.

i suggest buying more classic pieces to start from.
things that will always be in style.
and then buy a few trendy pieces according to the times.
it's hard to keep up with what is always in.
look at gap, express, limited.
wet seal always has fun pieces for mixing :)

I like H&M, it is by far one of my favourtie stores for up-to-date fashion, also Stitches, and Garage. I also like Baby Phat and Guess.
