No one wants to be shot at, not just cops. It's the whole pain/death thing. What kind of question is this?

For the same reasons that any other human doesn't like being shot at. Most of us prefer to remain alive.

Are you kidding? Most cops love it when you take a pop at them. That way they don't have to sit in court, just another page or two on the report, and a call to the cororner when they whack your ***, and a week's paid vacation!
Some kid waved a 9 at the man in Detroit a few weeks ago. ...they put like 60 bullet holes in the car. One cop reloaded... twice.

Most police officers are like doctors,they take their jobs with
an oath to protect and serve. Your doctor couldn't do their
job very well while being shot at.

The job of a cop is to enforce the law of his country... even if he don't like that law...
So when you shot at a cop... you shooting your country and your president.
The penalty for that is death.
