The president will not attend Ford’s state funeral in the Rotunda , but will return to Washington from his Texas ranch on Monday. A former President is dead and Bush should have been in Washington for the entire time out of respect . Maybe Bush thinks this is like the Texas Air National Guard and he can show up or go AWOL as it suits him.

The funeral service s on Tuesday, and I'm sure President Bush will be there. However, your question had me a little concerned. Should'nt you be more worried about what the President's plans are for the troops in Iraq than whether or ot hes paying respects to the discessed??

Hey, Just to help you remember something..

It is never, never, never, never, possible for the President and the Vice President to be in the same location at the same time.

They can not take the chance on both getting killed if something happens.
I do not know where you came up with the BS about picking up the branches in Texas, but again, that was BS.

Bush doesn't like to spoil his vacations.

Remember, Katrina, putting off a decision in Iraq.

In due time, in due time.

Remember he works "hard" -- I think that's the term he uses.
