Does the jump drive work on the old computer? Is your old computer Windows 98 or Windows ME? If so, you will have to hunt down a driver for it. Visit http://www.driverguide.com and look there.
If the jump drive works in your old computer, then you have to move 512MB at a time. Insert it in your old computer, copy some pictures, then insert it in your new computer and copy them to the new computer. After you verify that it transferred OK, then delete the files from your jump drive, and go back to the old computer to get more.
It might be convenient to make some folders on the old computer and move pictures into these folders, so that each folder is only about 480MB. Just right click on that folder and pick PROPERTIES. This will tell you the size of the files in that folder.
Good luck and Happy Computing!

I do not have the specifics of your jump drive (which I could look up, but as a computer person it is in my job description to be lazy I haven't) but from the top of my head;
Be sure ot connect to a drive above C:, since some jump drives now offer a security drive (which fuctions as a virtual floppy which requires a password to access the actual jump drive.
so in other terms, what you might have been accessing might not have been your actual jump drive.
just to make sure we're both thinking of doing the same thing; put your jump drive into your computer
if you have Windows XP it should install by itself
Now go to My computer, and check if you have a drive which looks just like your C: (local hard drive).
I'm sorry, I think i'm explaining it so horribly right now, basically check if its the right drive your opening.

Jump drives are pretty simple to use, as long as the files you are moving do not exceed 512 mb and there are no other large files on the jump drive it should be a piece of cake. Make sure first there are no large files on the jump drive, then copy and paste the picture files to it.

If there is a CD that came with it make sure that you have installed all the required drivers and software. It sounds like you have not formated it yet. If the CD doesn't help, try right clicking on it in My Computer and clicking format but try the CD first.
