I recently upgraded my computer to Windows XP but am still running Office 2000. Does this need to be upgraded too?

I guess that you are using Outlook Express for your email. Go to the TOOLS option and pick the Security section. The new version of Windows trys to make you safe, but blocks almost every attached file, so you will have to change some settings to allow you to SAVE these attachments.

I have no idea what Bill Gates was thinking. But you have to use your BRAIN to prevent opening or saving something harmful. Look at the sender, the subject and the way the message was written. If you do not know the person, or the message does not look like their normal style, assume the worst, and hit DELETE.

Again, keep your Antivirus program working and updates. Run full scans weekly.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

it is a little tricky her and u have to do it your self
open any folder then go to tools menu then folder options then file types and from the list select pps or ppt then press advance and then on the shown window and in one of the files extensions (pps or ppt) u should be missing the open option and u should make it your self. to do it select any other file extension like word document and see how the open option is to be configured and do the same for the power point file. it will work pal

Because it has to save it in order to run it and upload it to your computer if you want to see it cause it uses your pp reader to see it.
