Any tips on preperation for a road trip to Colorado. Also any tips for driving out there. Preferred route, places to stay, amount of tolls?

if you want to get there the fastest way from maine without to many tolls take 95 south to new york get off at 84 take 84 south
to 70 west follow it straight to colorado . prep by bringing food in the car for emergency use, water, blankets, emergency road kit,
and things to stay warm if you break down, a two way emergency radio incase you are in cell hell in you do break down, channel 9 is used for emergency on cb radio and 19 for general info help in all areas this i wouldn't travel without. depending on when your going as to what you'll need extra. also try findind small motels at exits that aren't super busy you get better rates and service most times. tolls will be about 28.00 one way.
