It's funny how people easily claims that having no makeup is the best because it exposes natural beauty. Most of the people believe that if you wear makeup then you are less confident about yourself...Well I think not. I would agree that horrible caked up makeup makes one look uglier..but the reason why makeup still exists is for the reason that it actually enhances features and hides blemishes..Let me just give you a scenario. Which would you prefer: A girl not wearing any single makeup but has lots of blemishes probably acne and acne scars (which are actually normal especially with teens) or having the same girl wear some natural looking makeup to cover her blemishes and actually look better. I would say if every girl in this world has the perfect skin, perfect everything..then people won't need makeup. But how about those girls who are already pretty but just need some cover on some problem parts?

Let me emphasize that wearing makeup is a choice basically. You can look better with or w/o and it is your journey to discover it. Nobody has a right to judge someone who does not or who does wear makeup. It a sense of style. For me, if you don't, It's ok. If you do, then its fine too!

Makeup was being used for centuries. There is a reason why it stayed in the industry that long. Some guys say girls look better w/o makeup. Honestly, I wear makeup but guys can't even tell!
There are tons of ways to stay natural even w/ makeup.

If it is your personal choice to not wear makeup. Then good for you! At least you made your stand for something. Always remember, it's your face. If you are happy about it then go for it!

I dont think there is anything wrong with it.

What I DO have a problem with is seeing girls wear makeup WRONG. It just brings tears to my eyes because I personally believe that if you don't know how to wear it, then you dont NEED to wear it. People always think makeup enhances what was godgiven, but some people just do too much or poorly apply their makeup, making them look stupid.

I believe that a woman can either wear makeup or not, just as long as whichever route you choose makes you feel like a sexy you.

Well, truthfully, if they DON'T wear it, and they are pretty, good for them. If they DON'T wear it, and they are not so good looking, then I would try to advise them, or give them some tips, like
how to make their eyes look bigger
how to make their eyes pop
how to curl lashes for a dramatic effect
how to pick the right lipgloss
when to or not line lips.. etc

I would hope that they would take me up on my offers to help them and that they would feel better about themselves.

Girls these days wear makeup because they think that they will look older, more mature, but they usually attract the wrong KIND of attention, so be careful of what you advise people.
Good Luck!

I know that I dont wear makeup and a lot of guys say it is better than wearing makup. Do what you thing is better. If a guy likes you it is not gonna be because you wear makeup or dont just be yourself. But it is always fun to dress up every once and a while!!!!!

Depends on mood, circumstance, and what you want to communicate.

Make-up done tastefully can
-- enhance features, and bring out a more feminine appearance
-- send the message that you put effort into your grooming and take care of your body
-- gives a sense of maturity and class

Make-up that is too heavy or wrong shades
-- can make you look harsh, imature, or tacky
-- looks fake

No make-up, but ballanced with good grooming and appearance
-- shows that you're not completely superficial
-- natural and casual side can be appreciated by many under various circumstances (doing make-up during a camping trip can annoy some people)

I think the trick is to be very skillful in how you do your appearance, and decide on a daily basis how you want to apear to others (ie. what are you communicating about yourself through your appearance) and also just what you feel like that day.

In opinion, a young girl really shouldn't be wearing a whole lot of make up ( foundation, blush/ powder , mascara, etc ) until she is like in her twenties.

A little lipstick , eye color and nail polish. ( nothing too dramatic) is OK for a girl 16-17.

Anything younger than that should be wearing only lip gloss and accessorize with hats, jewelry and hair jewelry. A young girl should look and be cute, and not "sexy".

It just looks so tacky on a young girl to be so dramatic at a young age.

I use to wear makeup when I was in my early teens. I would wear a little sometimes. But when I got acne I would use it to cover acne. Now that I look back I wouldn't wear it. I look good. I don't need foundation. I wear only lip gloss now. If you want a flawless look go for it. A lot of people wear makeup because THEY HAVE TO. I've seen Oprah without hers. I've seen Paris Hiton and Halle Berry without theirs and they look jacked up.

I honestly don't really notice if girls are wearing makeup or not. I think if you have the confidence to show off your natural beauty, then go for it.

Personally, I have no bias against women who do not wear makeup, but what I do not care for is women who look like unmade bed. Majority of women who do not wear makeup, do not care about how they look and usually appear in public with not proper clothing and very messy.
