Abortion never gets outlawed, TVs and movies get raunchier, that gay marriage amendment never actually comes up on the federal level, video games get more violent, the out-of-wedlock birth rate continues to rise, violent crime is up; yet Bush's followers continue to rabidly support Bush against their own economic self-interest because, in their words, "BUSH IS A GOOD CHRISTIAN MA-YAN".

When are they going to realize the GOP is using them for their votes while laughing about them behind their back?

Stygian, when did I say anything about big government? You know--most of that stuff ISN'T under presidential authority---that's the point. I don't think President Bush cares about gay marriage one way or the other, he just uses it as an issue to get people like you to get fired up and out to the polls, just not enough of you this last time around.

Acmery, I'm a registered unaffiliated voter. I think partisan politics and the football team mentality have ruined politics. That said, I think the 2006 elections showed a return to the swing voter. The Dems won because it was the only way to send a message to Bush.

I want to know when the left and the right are going to figure out that they are being played for chumps. The left and right is just an illusion. Both sides work for the same goal....new world order. The right comes in and gets their agenda passed(PATRIOT Act, HR 6166 ect.), and then the left will come in and get their gun control laws pass, which is the scariest of all. Just look back at some of the countries where the citizens gave up their guns for "security."

The point is, if you fall for the left or right you are just another naive American.

Just about everything you described is not under a presidential authority,
Tv and the movies are ruled under the left
Gay marriage is an attack on fundimental values of family values
video games are for profit
etc etc etc, sounds like you want big Government to rule you, like communist do....so your point of foolishness an being a chump is?

You forgot to mention the guy in charge of the "faith-based initiative" (David Cuo) resigned with disgust and wrote a book called "Tempting Faith" exposing Bush's hypocricy.

Bush followers are not going to realize anything soon, if ever. They have dedicated themselves solely to George W. Bush. They are so loyal to him that they are blinded by anything he does that is not good for this country.

The evangelicals sure figured it out. That's one of the biggest reasons the republicans got hammered at the polls. Thanks to Bush's betrayal, they didn't vote.
