if you still have the owners manual, check it, on the back cover will be the print date and that will be for the year it was used. otherwise, you might find a reference on the wiring diagram on it. some serial numbers might contain it, but many of them are in code, why, who knows. hope this helps, and happy new year!!

Sometime the serial number has a date code as part of the serial number such as 0586123456. The 0586 is the date manufactured. Other wise the date may be on the tag in a different location.

The date of manufacture is almost always indicated within the serial number. If you can't decipher it, you can call the manufacturer's customer service line - they will give you the information.

Many have a metal tag, or vinyl label with this info somewhere on the appliance.
